Australian Shepherd Puppies
Are you interested in owning an Australian Shepherd from my program?
Do your research first! You must be totally committed to providing a significant amount of mental stimulation and physical exercise. This breed is one of the most active breeds available! They are extremely intelligent, athletic, and loyal dogs. Australian Shepherds are very affectionate, have moderate grooming needs, and are good family dogs if exercise and training needs are met.
Step 1
Do your research and ensure that this breed is the right fit for you and your family.
Step 2
Contact me! Ask questions, tell me about yourself, let me know what you are looking for.
Step 3
Complete application form. Confirm approval. Discuss litter timeline and placing a deposit.
Step 4
Follow along as your puppy grows and prepare to welcome an active bundle of joy into your life!
-
Do you have a waiting list?Yes, I do have a waiting list. Feel free to contact me via email to inquire about the application process and waiting list details.
-
Where do I find the application form? Please email me and I will send you the current application form, as well as detailed information about my dogs and the application process.
-
Can I place a deposit to reserve a puppy now?Hold on! The application and approval process must be completed first. Once you have been approved, we will discuss placing a deposit. If you are contacting me while I am whelping a litter, chances are all of those puppies are reserved already. If you would like to place a deposit for a future litter, please contact me and I will advise you of the process.
-
Can I meet the parents?Absolutely! I encourage you to contact me to arrange a meeting appointment to come and meet my dogs. This is a great way to get a feel for the personalities and behaviours you should expect to see in one of my puppies.
-
How much does a puppy cost? While I appreciate the fact that cost is always a consideration when a family is making a big decision, please do not email me just to ask how much a puppy costs. If you are genuinely interested in adding one of my puppies to your family, please contact me and we can discuss the process as well as the cost.
-
Is an Australian Shepherd suitable for my family? That's a hard question! Australian Shepherds are not "easy" dogs to own, but they certainly can be wonderful family and/or working dogs. They need A LOT of exercise and stimulation - physical and mental. You definitely need to research the breed and it can be extremely helpful to talk to families that already own an Australian Shepherd. Let me know if you would like to be put in contact with a family (or families) from one of my previous litters.
-
Are your dogs health tested? My dogs have been DNA health tested with PawPrint Genetics. Results are available to you, just contact me!
-
Do you ship your puppies?Yes I do. From the Yukon to Newfoundland and in between, puppies from my breeding program live with families in multiple Canadian provinces and territories.
-
What if I need help with my puppy after bringing him/her home?No problem! Once you have a puppy from me, we're family! I will always be available to help in any way I can - for the LIFETIME of the dog. Just contact me! Details are explained during the application process.
-
Do I have to sign a contract?Yes. For the safety and protection of both myself as the breeder, and you as the purchaser, there is a contract that you must sign if you are purchasing a puppy from me. A copy of the contract will be provided for your review during the application process.
